Tales From Tribe- Chapter 2: Sat 1/25 @ 3AM Server Time

Tales from Tribe is the name for the 2014 event series presented by the Tribe Free Company. For those interested in a little plot we have opted to add a bit of story; and for those who aren't interested in story, well you always skip the quest text anyways so this should be no different, the event is at the bottom. Events happen on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 3 AM Server Time (that's 7pm PST, 9pm CST, 10pm EST for those who are wondering). Look forward to see you at the event!

Chapter 2

Ah! Welcome back! You want to know what the UGCIS found don't you? Well gather 'round! For those joining us for the first time, please check out Chapter 1 for what you missed. Now the UGCIS analyzed the reports gathered during the race, and would you believe it, the Garleans weren't planning anything! They were licking their wounds just as much as we were. This left the UGCIS again without any clues to the nature of the impending threat. They needed answers, but where to find them?

Just kidding! About this time the first pumpkins were ripening in Gridania. Now Gridanian pumpkins are special. Each one contains some divine spark bestowed by the Twelve allowing it to produce a single leaf where the veining will spell out the answer to a single question asked of the pumpkin. Unfortunately they sprout in unpredictable locations & one isn't found every year. Worse, sometimes they are found and the finder wastes the question on some selfish pursuit.

With the permission of the Twin Adder and the great SeedSeer the UGCIS sought out these pumpkins to get the answers they needed. The trick to these pumpkins is that if the answer is to the question is too long, the end of the answer is cut off; so the question must be specific enough to dictate a short answer. The UGCIS needed to find pumpkins, and they needed them soon. The answers they could provide might mean the difference. Finding the pumpkins was the issue though.

Care to hear how it went? I can allow you to live the search if you want. Those searching met at Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Gridania to set a plan, then proceeded to search the city. The search was both fruitful and disappointing. Those searching for the pumpkins found only 5, and using them all the UGCIS was only able to get a single word in return. More on that next time...

Reward: The individual who finds the most pumpkins will receive 20k per pumpkin found
Objective: Be the first to find & /point at all 5 pumpkin wearing Tribe members
Event Area: Old & New Gridania
Max Event Duration: 1 hour

If you are interested in a bit of hide & seek this will be a fun event for those who know all the nooks and crannies of the city. Who can find all 5 people the quickest!

This will be a lot of fun, as was the chocobo race. Had some inventive people. One which was my favourite teleported to the end at the start of the race and said "Teleport sir? Why no, I trained my chocobo to fly!" Looking forward to the turnout here.
