Devilets make my computer lock up

drivers are up to date. i have almost all my settings on standard or low....like i said have never had this problem before...could it possiblly be from running a borderless windower program? maybe i should switch to built in SE windower mode?

tested without a windower....as soon as imps started attacking me it locked up. when they killed me and disengaged it unfroze. i am thinking its something to do with the purple orb effect they have when they are engaged. was listening to music while this happened and the sound would stop every other second. maybe i have a corrupt file or something?
