Did SE change map drop rates?

So the last couple days I've gotten peisteskin maps with relative ease mining a few nodes in Bluefog then going on my merry way.

Today I've been grinding it for over 2 hours between bluefog and east shroud (lv 50 nodes all) and have yet to see anything but toadskin and the occasional boarskin pop. What gives?

If this is 'working as intended', seems a bit much considering how many daily time sinks they've thrown at us with this patch..

Seems a bit excessive, lol. I understand the R stands for Random, but going from ~8=15 minutes to 2+ hours seems like a rather exceptional deviation.

Are you sure your timer is up? I've only mined myself 3 treasure maps so far, but they all came to me on the 2nd or 3rd try.

Yesterday I logged in and started trying to fish and, since I still had the previous day's map still sitting in my inventor, I fished up the same map three times in a row and threw it back each time. >.< Yeah, I decided I should actually do something with he map after that. >.>
