    Remove Raise and make Repose/Sleep duration shorter/Melee attack interupts

    Lets keep this post constructive here are my issues:

    - Remove Raise from pvp. Why? Because its making Healer/DBL SMN or SMN in general too powerful. I know raise has its downsides but the player still gets the new raise invulnerability that came with the patch.

    -Sleep duration is way too long. 30 seconds first sleep? With a MNK SMN or BLM on your team someone is dying in about 2 globals if that. Should start at 10-15 seconds then drop from there. (Same should apply to Tri-disaster)

    -Remove the "Every melee attack interrupts". This is pretty big for BLM's and SMNs. I understand they do a TON of damage, but most ppl are trying to LoS you the entire time anyway and one bard being able to take a caster out of the game with auto attacking is alittle out of hand. Should be a chance to interupt or just completely removed. (I play BRD this isn't a biased rant.) Seems like they should just add a PVP interupt to most classes if they remove it completely.

    I feel PVP has alot of promise i personally think it's fun but these couple of things just feel gamebreaking to the point where it kills the fun need major adjustment.

    How is everyone else feeling about PVP? What would you like to see changed and how would you change it?

    2. Rank 3 is easy to obtain, and basically there is only one action you should always unlock first. It is like WoW's pvp trinket. It is usually hard for BLM to cast sleep again after instant cast and stoneskin is gone.

    I think Raise is okay, but my problem with it is I can't target the guy being revived. It's really stupid. I should be able to knock someone right back down, but if I can't even TARGET them they're free to take off and heal! Also, that invulnerability needs to go. Being invincible for a short while until you take action is an unwarranted advantage.

    Raise - The only time I have seen raise successfully used is when you are already losing. Otherwise, it is too much of an MP sink and even if you use swiftcast for raise the target still comes back with too little HP to survive long unless you are already losing with too many members down. I think, if you can make it work then you should be able to use it.

    Sleep - Sleep is a little long in the beginning, I suggest you play lower level cap ones until you can get Purify, also part of PvP is strategy so think of ways to work around it.

    Interrupts - SMN and BLM have their own advantages (DOTs of DOOM and AOE sleep being big ones) Playing so far I have seen that the interrupts balance out some of their otherwise OP range, damage output, CC, pet, etc. Casters work with the interrupts and still do just as well if not better than some, of the other jobs in the PvP; it just takes some time to learn the system and how to own ppl

    I have played BRD and PLD in PvP so far and think a ranking system would be beneficial as well and lower the 2 min timer at the beginning... Its way too long to me. Otherwise, I think general expansion of the PvP is needed and will hopefully come in the future. With more arenas, rewards, etc.

    Thread derailed by people trying to give sh*tty advice that seem to not pvp at all. this is about what we all want as a community to be changed for quality of life not telling me how to play around stupid broken mechanics that NEED change.

    1. In the interest of fairness (as a smn), I wouldn't really mind much if this happened. It wouldn't be a problem if we were talking about open world, large scale pvp, but it's admittedly an issue in a four man arena match.

    2. I think the duration is fine, but they messed up with their diminishing return values. Not to mention, I prefer having an immunity timer (similar to virus now) rather than dr.

    3. Don't agree with this one at all. It's funny saying this as a caster, but casters would be pretty imbalanced if there wasn't any real way of interrupting them (you mentioned adding a pvp interrupt, but those abilities are all on huge timers). At most, I would say don't make it interrupt, make it push back your cast timer (I can't remember what game did that but that would be an okay system in a small arena).

    1 raise cap per fight, CC lowered to 10/5/3 sec., lower a bit the interrupt rate of melee attacks and we are a step closer to a balanced arena

    Well i'm part of the community... I play a melee... and I don't agree with it. What I do agree with is the advice they are giving. To call their advice 'shitty' seems pretty close minded. How do you expect to have others hear you out, when you turn a blind ear towards those who are giving you those answers to let you know how those abilities aren't as lethal as 'you' might think they are.

    I think restrictions should be put on such as: only 1 raiser per party, 1 sleeper per party, 1 pet class per party etc the stacking of classes is the most unfair thing, I feel. Not the interrupting or the raising. (Whm pov)
