    Fonk does have a small point. Duty finder is filled with rude people as well. I dont want to be in a group thats spouting racist, ignorant, or unsocial rude a holes. I have ran into this so much from transfering to hyperion from masamune. The right thing to do would be to stick it out, but that always isn't the case.

    I have a simple suggestion to this.

    Do not imply loot restriction. But lock the dungeon out when you get loot. Dungeon lock reset should be performed like the Coil does now.

    That would cause another problem. Alot of people would just finish up the dungeon on monday. If you, for whatever reason, couldnt get it done on a monday, your queues would get progressively longer as the week went on, as more and more people got locked out. Ive seen my queue as DPS, already go as high at 80-90 mins, healer around 30.

    The lock is silly. It's not the best gear... and 1 item is lame. Lockout need, sure... but not greed. So much stuff is just rotting. When stuff rots because your loot policy punishes people for winning, it's really just sad.

    Well people also leave if their item doesnt drop for example your drop you want is on the first boss and it doesn't drop it's faster to leave or force a dc (no timer that way) and reque then to finish the whole run only way to fix it imo is remove the restriction entirely I mean whos going to spend 5 weeks gearing in CT before starting on i90? noone just let us have the damn gear lol

    I think blaming SE is a bit much here. If the sole motivation of what you do in this game is carrot on a stick that's really a player issue. I think certainly the lockout needs to be looked at, but I don't know if normalizing people quitting is good either.

    I get my loot and I leave & i'm done with CT for the rest of the week

    Duty Finder with 7 baddies is annoying enough... Duty finder with 23 baddies is ridiculous

    jerks will be jerks - do what you will, people will always find ways to abuse any given system if they want to.
    Example, as someone mentioned the easiest solution might be to give out all the loot at the end instead of per boss:

    - It'll not bring a lot of joy to people if you don't get anything unless you defeat every boss (shouldn't be a problem really, but a lot of people actually struggle for whatever reason)
    - It will in no way or form make people any nicer - it'll actually turn into flamewars a lot quicker and more often because someone has to be blamed for possibly not getting something right?
    - What happens if you disconnect between bosses though you won something?
    - Can you get kicked from the group thus losing out on possible loot?

    If clearing becomes mandatory you will probably have evn longer waiting times if you're not overgeared and entering as a premade.

    People are quick to blame the system but you have to consider all aspects around any given system and quite honestly - it is not unreasonable to expect some common decency in a mmorpg where people would help those who helped them, strangers or not. This is more of a social issue than SE fault.

    Who cares if people leave after they win? It's not abusing the system... it's just the design.

    They could do the same thing in WoW... you win, you are out of loot on that boss till reset. big deal.

    The problem is that you can only win 1 item- period... so there isn't incentive to do all bosses... just the one that may or may not drop what you want.... and if it doesn't, you can leave and re-run with another group for another chance... so the system encourages it.

    It's just a micromanagement technique to extend playing of a zone. It's not about making it fun... or interesting... it is about dragging it out as long as you possibly can by putting artificial barriers up to keep players from advancing- and not even for the best gear.
