Stat Allocation for WAR Post 2.1

Welcome to the New Age, Warriors -

Since the patch I have been enjoying the recent changes to WAR while learning to adopt the new uses for our abilities. One thing that tends to escape me mostly for math reasons is the allocation of stats for Warrior.

With the changes to Enmity gain (which I feel like is going to get nerfed at how easy it is to get aggro), is the Str>Vit still considered to be the most viable, or has it now given way to the Vit>Str, or simply all Vit build?

When I look to Paladins they seem to be able to put all into Vit, but no real pressure to build DPS like a Warrior might. I can't really gauge a difference as a Warrior to meet the DPS demands that STR might afford me in place of the new patch notes.

I'm not looking for the definitive answer, but new perspective for a new patch.

    Thanks!

Generally, I feel that Warrior makes the stronger off tank than a Paladin, with higher Enmity generation, and overall better damage potential after the Unchained changes and the way we can put up De-Buffs.

So I would still say go all Strength, and act as a slightly meaty Tank who can still deal some moderate damage when there is nothing else to pick up.

With the increased enmity buff and the changes to War mitigation it'll be best to go straight Vit. It will also leave you room if you decide to use melded I70 accessories as you will lose a small amount of Vit over I90 tank accessories.

I'd say get enough vit to survive the encounters you're geared for but not so much that they do nothing. Right now, I have it all in strength cause my group aren't doing turn 4 anytime soon.

I'd say STR (with or without party buff assuming your static raid group has a melee as they will add 10 str bonus) till you can hit the thresholds 372 (24% parry) and 405 (25% parry) then everything into vit.

I just use VIT. Its easier to swap in STR accessories for easier content.

As far as I know, WARs can tank all Turns in Coil (they already could, but you get the picture). I would say go VIT if you want to MT, STR if you're only OTing

I would like to hear from WARs who actually did T5 too as a WAR post 2.1. I don't feel like I can go all STR tanking Twintania, it feels I need to rely on healers more, but don't have actual proof.

Full STR, MT Twintania on Warrior np.

Biggest issue I see right now is that it's easier for a Paladin to MT because they only have on combo, where Warrior has to maintain (optimally) non-enmity combos.

As an OT or beefy DPS, Warrior can maintain these debuffs without worry.

Only reason for vitality is to survive big hits without needing big mana consuming heals. Anything ahead of that is wasted. So, your vitality/str allocation will depend on current skill, gear, and content. there is no definitive answer. I do like my STR warrior better than when I was VIT, because the DPS boost was noticable and helpful.

I tried to tank TWINTANIA with full str spec, was testing to see how well I would survive a death sentence with no buffs, at full health. Boom, died immediately. Re-speced to vit on the spot.
