Did the last patch ninja fix SCH pet?

As mentioned by many in other threads, people had to keep pressing "Obey" on every mob to have the pet remain in control. But after this last hotfix patch, I only have to press it once. Pet stays in control at all times even if I leave the dungeon and enter another. It stays in control. I don't know about you guys, but my frustration is over. I'm surprised I didn't see any posts on this, so are you guys still having issues or not?

I don't know what you were doing wrong, because mine worked just fine.

I dont know how it was before but my pet works fine.

Sic for auto, obey for player controlled.

The pets will still attack/cast embrace while in obey.

There are still some issues with it. You can't set to Obey without an enemy present, for instance. Also, there is no way to put the faery in 100% manual control, where she doesn't even cast Embrace. And...the regular AI has gotten kinda slower, probably to reward players who spend the time controlling their own.

However, you can also now set macros for your pet's actions. This allows way more flexibility and better work-arounds. You can also make some sweet Whispering Dawn macros, and really use Whispering Dawn as an emergency group heal.

The placers lose really. You can't rely on a placed fairy to solo heal anymore. This isn't a bad thing necessarily. The patch gives you huge incentive to micro your fairy, and gives you the tools to do it

I wouldn't say that's true for placers in particular - I hate placing and tend not to do it - but anyone who has got Embrace hotkeyed and is used to using mouseover and <tt> macros has won.

idk, I used my fairy in t2 2 days ago and it felt fine. Just had to replace Steady with Obey and hit it once per node. I usually have fairy do whatever she want with Embrace and save CD for when I need it.

Obey always worked this way. It was Steady that you had to repeatedly set prior to 2.1.

I really don't get why the obey/steady/etc never worked the same for fairies as it did for Egis. Our Egis always stay on obey even after something dies, infact I usually kill something weak with garuda before going into someplace just to make sure she doesn't blow CDs at the start of a boss. I'm pretty sure fairies stayed on obey before 2.1 so the coming off is definitely a glitch, though steady was the better choice before 2.1 as well. Dunno if eos/selene are still blowing CDs on Obey
