    Day 5 PvP Perspective

After 5 Days of PvP I am Rank 17 and have 5 pieces of Ilv 70 gear. It has been a long hard road. The reason being is that the entire 2.1 patch was developed to be nothing more and Time Sink Grind to keep us busy untill 2.2.

With PvP there are comps that no matter how geared or skilled you are,you will lose to unless you have the counter comp. Now what does that mean for the average player just looking to have fun? You won't unless you assemble the right group of people. It is already lack luster in diversity being that you are forced to have a tank, healer and 2 DD. To have a successful run you constantly need the same comp. If my friends or fc/ls mates have jobs that clash with a set up we won't enjoy PvP because we are losing badly.

This is where "The Grind" comes in. To counter "Top Tier Comps" you have to buy enough Materia at 1250 seals to be viable. So what does that mean for the average player? S/he has to deal with a losing streak until they can build up enough seals OR Grind/Farm Mats to make your own items.

My personal opinion: There is no way around a grind and PvP won't require actual skill until you are completely farmed and on equal footing with all comps based on CC resist. It seems Yoshi intended PvP to be more fun & competitive for those willing to grind for it.
