I was actually surprised the Sovereign Barding was just a crown and not a full suit of armor.

At 500 you get another Magitek Armor, I'll post it here when I get it. It should be another day or two most likely, three if I get sick of myself or go crazy.

We all have to start somewhere. ^ ^ If it helps, I found that Guildhests were the most effective way of getting them.

Thats great OP, and while he did his legit, here is a quick "farm" method:
- Get 4 friends
- All sign up for first guildhest in df (as solo), you'll most likely end up with each other, win
- Commend 1 guy, ez way to "farm" recommendations.

Or pick some other ez guildhest that no one does.

I suppose and while I understand the relation. I don't really think I was trying to outsmart anyone, I didn't ask anyone to commend me. I conversed with people, explained the mechanics behind the Guildhests/Dungeons I entered and was generally (I hope) likable.

People commended me and that was their choice by whatever criteria they decided to do it by, and in the end that is what the system is for. I do apologize if this doesn't fit your (general 'your' not you Kouji) vision of the feature, but I don't really feel bad about it.
