    Laptop completley shutting down within 30 min of gameplay

    OK, so ever since i downloaded the new 2.1 patch i can only play final fantasy for 15 to 20 mins before the game crashes my laptop completely like someone has hit the power off button. i have to turn my laptop back on every time. i can play other games fine on my laptop and do other things but when it comes to final fantasy i cant play it anymore. Ive checked all my systems to make sure that its not overheating or problems with the fans but everything is running fine and its not overheating so has to do with the game.

    My first bet that the laptop is shut down because it's overheating. Maybe run a temperature meter for the CPU and the GPU on the desktop, and XIV in a window beneath it, so you you can keep an eye on them. Or open a support ticket.

    i was told to run aida64 and run a gpu stress test so i did but all the numbers and that make no sence to me. its only started happening since the patch, my lappie is cold to the touch. i played skyrim for 4 hours today without it crashing but when i turned ff on this arvo it turned my lappie off with in 10mins

    samething with me but im on standard pc....realy annoying, cant find any informations about it. Every other games work well...

    I know but i have played Battlefield 4 for 45 minutes without problems. Pretty sure its more demanding then ffxiv

    yeh thats the same i play other games with no problem. and only since the update.
