Damn, you're going to have to play the game now... :< Sounds horrible. Worst part is you're paying 15 bucks a month for the privilege. As of now, it's impossible to find an efficient way to level, I've tried everything people have mentioned here and there are only three viable options which are pretty much done.
It's pretty much come down to do your once-a-day duty roulette and battleleves. Don't even try fate grinding.
Yeah, that was kind of the point. You think hitting 50 in a week and a half was normal?

im starting to wish for a Level reset with some kind of reward, kinda like COD Prestige so i can re-level my dragoon through dungeons instead of all the fate grinding i did...
I don't hate FATEs, but they never should have been scaled they were 2.0-2.1.
Enemies should never be blown up is milliseconds (and I'm being literal).
The fate scaling they did add is a decent step, but it obviously came with many flaws of its own.
Guild Wars 2 made invented these dynamic event type stuff, and their version scaled while it was going on.
I hope they find a sweet spot in making adjustments.
On the other hand, FATE xp was ridiculous. The content should not be trivialized, and it should not be easier to do fates that go through a dungeon.
That's where finding proper scaling will really help in balancing the two.
How exactly do I play the game? You mean do 1 dungeon a day, then go do something else? Battleleves right? Wait, there's only 3 every 12 hours, that won't do =/. I guess go on your main and try to get gear? Oh bummer, look at all these lockouts. What if my own definition of "fun" actually comprises of having a variety of end-game classes so I can do more of the actual end-game dungeons, which is probably 90% of what 2.1 is about? Shucks, but of course, I must be paying 15 bucks a month to AFK. Oh wait I can't even do that because there's an AFK kicker. Much fun. Very thoughtful. So FF.
FATEs were supposed to be SUPPLIMENTAL experience income, not the ONLY source. FATEs were SE's way of saying, "oh I see you running thru X to get to Y, look to your right you can grab some quick easy EXP and then be back on your way." The fact that people discovered that by zerg-rushing them, you could amount to the quickest exp in the game, it destroyed the system. FATEs require completely different mechanics than instances do. Because end-game consists of instanced party-play, leveling via FATEs did NOT equip these people with the proper knowledge of how to perform their class's role in an organized setting. This destructive spiral ultimately lead to the loathing we see today. It's not the system's fault. It's really the playerbase's fault for not exercising self-restraint. Just because someone hands you the easy way out doesn't mean it's the correct way.
The fact that people are STILL wanting FATEs to be "lol easy-mode leveling" proves that this playerbase was bottle-fed way longer than it should have been. 2.1 was the weaning you all needed. "B...but..but dungeons are harder and make me do work." Lol lrn2play bro.
If you're still seeing long queue times for the Duty Finder, I highly suspect it's either your server population or the time of day you are playing. I've noticed a 20 to 50% reduction on all my queue times since 2.1 launched, and yes, that includes DPS. I'm now popping instances in 15-20 minutes instead of the 45-60 minutes I saw in 2.0. Not, that's not ideal, but it's a hell of a lot better than before.
I dunno, do two dungeons, maybe three? Enjoy a fate or two. Try a leve. Help out a friend with her quests. Everyone else seems to be doing just fine. It might take you another week or two to hit max. Holy crap, spoiled much? You're going to have to earn your variety of 'fun'. Your the type that would literally push a button to hit 50 if possible, and sorry, from a game design perspective you're the worst kind of player imaginable, and balancing around that kind of sentiment would -crush- the game for hundreds of thousands of people. You were spoiled by a broken system that should have never rewarded like it did in the first place, and you're going to have to deal with it and play the game like every other mmo has played, and enjoy its content at the pace you can set. If that means hitting 50 in a month on your freaking ~alt~, cry me a river.
I wish they had a dislike button. You do realize that the game is centered around being level 50. If it takes longer to get to level 50, then yea some people might be a tad upset especially if they like/want to get multiple 50s. Getting to 50 should be trivial, especially after the first go round. You can continue to chain roulette after the first time, without the bonus of course. If you choose to queue up for any dungeon without using it, you are setting yourself up for 30-60 minute wait times as dps. So, in the mean time what are you going to do? Alright, let's spend levees on grinding levels when they are usually better used on gathering/crafting professions. They are also not finite, you WILL run out at some point. Once you do run out, that option is dry. Next, you can quest..oh wait, getting another class to 50 so there are almost none left. So, ok you can go do some fates....right no one is running them and with scaling running them solo is a waste of time (at the moment, that is subject to change). The problem now is you can't enjoy fates with the scaling and as a dps your only real option is to do fates. If you would be able to have a fate party and queue up for a dungeon, that would be optimal but that option just isn't present. Also, with roulette in certain level ranges you'll get thrown into the primals. First time? Awesome, quick xp boost. Second time? Horrible. 2k xp if someone hasn't done it before, or ~300 otherwise. Get that a couple times in a row and roulette quickly loses it's value. Aside from that, queue times seem to be going up for dps with the roulette (this is just over the course of the week so it could be fluctuating, no clue yet).
Anyone who says the whole lrn2play thing is either a troll or just as bad themselves. Just saying.
Lol lrn2play bro.

Also, you do realize that DF pulls from other servers than your own right? That's why there are clusters. It should be pulling from about 10 different worlds. If queue times at peak hours are still high, then what then? 20-50%? Let's see your maths and not anecdotal information. I could log in one day and get queues of 10 minutes as dps and claim that things has changed, but that would be incorrect.

insignificant? You must not be doing the same dungeons I am, 120k xp for 25-30minutes @ lower levels is not insignificant. Its great, and not mind numbing like fates are.
im getting this xp AFTER my daily roulette. For instance, in satasha I was getting 1200 per kill which is pretty damn good @ lvl 15
