I can't explain it, but trying to level through dungeons just feels slower. In the 20-30 range, after my roulette it was just queuing back up into roulette and getting stuck with Ifrit. The problem there is that he offers about 2k xp if someone hasn't done it before, other than that you get jackall xp for killing him. That happened 3 times in a row with a 10 minute wait in between (as a dps). I got sick of it and went to do levees and fates in Quarrymill. After about 30 minutes, I manged to get a full party together and we hammered out XP a lot faster than what I feel dungeons were pulling for me. Got 3 levels in about 1-2 hours. Now, unfortunately, even with another fate group Hive and King were just about impossible. Hive is a bit easier if you are infiltrating, but defending? Forget it, no chance.

No the scaling thing. It scales with the last fate group to kill it. If this group had say, 30 people and you go back with 10, you can hardly make a dent in the fate mobs. Most people just get blown up before doing any damage. It's just frustrating and disheartening. I don't mind dungeons, but when I get bored of them I'd like to hop into fates. Yes you can fate alone and wait in queue for an hour, but you miss out on the chain xp you can pull in fate parties and the efficiency. It's slowly turning into RIFT where people just simply ignored Rifts aside from the few who used them for XP. Fates are mind numbing yes, but was the purpose of 2.1 to render them useless? At this point, that's what it seems like. I am only hoping that after another week or 2 people come back from CT and whatnot and continue leveling alts.
