I haven't touched this game for the past few weeks. Been at GW2, and really liking the changes and the spvp. How is the PvP from the latest patch? Please comment only if you really pvp. I'd like to come back if it is decent. Thanks.

Gw2 PVP is far better. This is pretty much just a epilepsy simulator in a small arena. The game just not designed to handle PVP.
lols.../10char?
GW2 PvP was quite fun... might reinstall the game now that I think of it :P
I wanna give it another try for a while, though I know it won't last.
Then again, I don't know if I would recommend this game purely for the PvP aspect, since it's just a very small fraction of it. You could always give it a try for 1 month and see what's up...
If you don't mind buying the sub, I have not tried PvP yet, it does sound fun, but not very refined to be honest.
While I can't comment on GW2 PvP the above poster is completely wrong and has no idea what he's talking about regarding PvP in this game.
OP is already subbed, there's no way his forum cookies would have lasted this long. You're not allowed to post when your sub expires (though you can for a little while after until your session cookies expire).
I never wait more than a couple minutes to get a match on a DPS, no respawn is not a bad thing, it is last man standing not deathmatch, Who gives a crap about animations, wonderful, I say, wonderful.Long wait for match to start, no respawn, CC fest, animations not able to finish while chasing, etc. Terrible I say, terrible.
//somewhat overacted to imitate the quoted poster, but really. it's not terrible, it's fun. I can't believe people are raging about the prep timer. come on, it's not a big deal.

A quick look at my persistent cookies on this site with Chrome WEb Developer tools, tells me this site will not log me out until October 2, 2014 (which is when I logged in persistently, so the cookies are good for 365 days).
Please. GW2 pvp was awful. Doesn't hold a candle to GW1.
ARR pvp has some issues and needs some balancing but there is far more dynamic strategy involved in ARR than in "everybody is now a ranged, dodge the circles" GW2. Go into ARR and every fight is different, and you have to adapt to your comp and enemy comp. GW2, just dodge roll and spam, all the time

It's pretty funny that I'm wrong for answering a question about 2 games I have actually played, and can compare. You on the other hand have no basis for comparison. On a side note, you know nothing about animations until you play melee PvP in this game.
GW2 PvP may be worse than GW1, but it is still far superior to ARR.
I can't even believe you think there is more "dynamic strategy in ARR", there are no specs, no combo fields, and contrary to what you said, dodging actually adds another layer to pvp. Give it 2 weeks, whatever OP comp (probably Smn Smn sch, pld/war) will just run train on everyone.
There is no difference between one bard or another bard, or any other class comparison because of the fact that there is no spec customization.
Comparing these two games on pvp is like comparing and apple to an apple that a bum took a dump on and threw in the garbage. It just wasn't built with pvp in mind.

Evil is Evil. Lesser, greater, middling… Makes no difference.
Combo fields are an awful system. Meanwhile, dodging dominates the game just as much as sleep. At least you can counter sleep. Dodging is just a tacked on invulnerability button and trivializes any supposed depth you think the game has. Dodge invulnerability is a counter to everything. It doesn't "add another layer" it completely smothers the game. Doesn't matter how unique you think your spec is, it's just different ways to spec into dodge invulnerability.
If you hold GW2 up to same scrutiny as ARR, it's a total mess. People just give it a pass because its GW2, and supposedly a "pvp game" even though it tried to be an eSport and FAILED MISERABLY.

The foundation of pvp feels a lot like GW1.
It has promise, but there's not much to it right now.
Take that as you will.
