Cape Westwind Trial Exp

Since Patch 2.1 I've noticed there's been a large exp bonus for defeating bosses in duty finder. However, after doing Cape Westwind I received a 7,000 exp swift completion bonus and only 250 exp for defeating the boss. Can that be right? Not really much incentive for high level players to queue that trial if they're only going to get 250 exp.
