Dective quest story line

I was pretty far into the Detective quest storyline I don't know what else to call it sorry.
And i got to the part with the chain quests in DryBone.. At one point i was sent up to talk to someone in The Golden Bazaar.. a Cut scene was started with some weird movie like setup lol and I was able to skip the cut scene so I did and once I did, it said the Fate was failed wasn't even aware I was in a fate cause I was in the Cut scene.. So cause of that I lost the quest and the whole quest line I have no idea where it went and i cant find it anywhere <_<
Please Help, I tried my best to explain it without knowing the quest name or Npc name.

Player Name: Little Dx
World: Excalibur
Time of incident: Probably around 5-6:30pm

What happened was that that was the literal last cutscene of the questline (showing that that line will continue in further patches)
And you skipped it while there was, coincidentally, a FATE going on on top of you and it failed.
Two completely unrelated incidents.
