Feels like the Beta Forums

When the game was in Beta, OK the 1st Beta the forums felt the same. So many complaints about the same issues in different threads, well deserved but so many. Also so many new threads on the same complaints. It makes coming to these forums just unbearable. I'm in no way saying the game is great as is. It would be nice if people actually looked through at least 3-4 pages of the forums to see if their is a thread like theirs.

Theirs times where i want to start a new thread but i found one that was what i wanted to complain about, So i didn't make a new one. To me the same complaints get old so fast or i should say all the threads on the same complaints. Unfortunately it will be getting worse when 1.18 comes out. We'll get WTF no (insert whats not in patch here) in patch 1.18. Or this sucks why did they even do this and it took them this long to do just this?? Nerd rage!!!

To bad SE didn't hold of on this game till they had more. Just more of everything and latency issues figured out and such. Who really knows if the game would of even hit the marked if they did that.

Sorry lots of randomness but the main point is just take 5 min and look if the thread you want to start is already started.

At this point almost everything has been discussed, it's either repetition or a dead forum. Repetion > dead.

The Forums here remind me of FF XIV leves... a repetitive grind, with no fix in sight.

Except in the beta forums:

1. We really didn't have trolls. Pretty much all the posts were constructive feedback or questions.
2. We got zero feedback from SE, except for announcements regarding testing dates or server issues. Nothing but eerie silence. We had no idea if they were even reading what we were saying.

1. I don't know what Beta forums you were in, but there were plenty of trolls.

2. Sounds the same, eerie silence is pretty damn close to "were looking into it" posts. I will say that the blue prints have been a definite step in the right direction... but there not there yet ><

You mean open or closed beta? Because open beta did open the floodgates to a few, yes. But I remember closed beta being more serious.

True about the feedback from the Devs.
Their are trolls here true and yes i have done the Devils advocate just for fun in the threads. I really enjoyed FFXI so much and played for 6 years. I was utterly surprised that after 4-5 years they spent Making this game how bad it was at release. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I figured they would take the good from FFXI remake it with a twist and have it in FFXIV. The Guild Leves to me feel like Fields Of Valor from ffxi. To me the game didn't deliver on fun or content.

Now looking at Guild Wars 2, hot dam that game delivers everything and more. They still haven't set a open Beta date yet or release and the game is looking so polished. It looks incredible. Also no monthly Fee's.

The one scene in FFXIV where the CON cast a protect spell on the boat and you see a force field covers them. Ya GW2 Guardian job can do that, It looks GREAT. Not sure why FFXIV doesn't have stuff like that in it. Who know FFXIV could turn out to be a really great game or it could get cancelled or just stay a niche MMO. Either way i don't care what it becomes.

Beta forums were full of hope as players thought SE is actually working hard on improving the game. Besides hardware mouse they really haven't done anything of equal importance yet.

Now people are just frustrated as it seems they're dragging their feet even though speed is as important as quality and franky we can't have both.

I agree 100% i would say< "It's only beta their just testing server load they will add more content" Holly SHT was i wrong. it just seemed to go down hill after it went retail.

AND yes they did fix some UI and latency on certaint hings, excluding combat.

I have to agree with some of this. But in the Alpha forums i can only recall one or two trolls. I was on the EU forums and like Rowyne says we got no feedback apart from the news which was very scarce. I understand what you are saying about this place it is a mess full of silly requests and repeated topics with some really intelligent threads...but the Alpha forums where a nicer place to be with some great feedback from people who spent a lot of time testing and reporting and nothing was ever done. Wish we would have had the same feedback from the devs maybe the game would have been in a better state.
