I would too.
But in a perfect world (where people can read) Like i said there are 2 types of runs.. those obviously worded for anyone to join, and those meant for highly geared people to burn repeatedly. You cant be lowly geared and expect a favorable response from the speed burning group.. and you cant be a highly geared person joining a regular run and expect highly geared results. The system isn't messed up, its people not being able to read.

I have no trouble at all doing stuff with my main or my alts because I either join normal groups when i dont feel like pushing limits and burning stuff, or with my alts, i just wait for runs that are on my caliber.

Cap iLvs to 5-10 above what the DF suggests for the instance. People overgeared will still be overgeared, but as dramatically. It will also ensure the content isn't facerolled. And since gear would be capped at a certain point, we wouldn't run into situations where the "standard" is "You need iLv 110+ to do HM Ifrit." I get sync'd when I do a Lv15 instance. I don't see why I shouldn't also be sync'd when I do an i55 instance.

I agree with you man. But people have the right to not waste time helping others learn.
Personally I am patient and I will sit around with people while they experience and progress in a fight.
Or even help them get geared up.

This has backfired on me though before. So don't be too upset with people who don't have the patience.
We're all human and some of us (not me) have lives outside of the game and limited time to play.

The majority of us did it with our FC/Friends too. Outside of that if someone wants to go minimally geared, its usually ala DF. I like to go DF (and expect learning curves) when I did all my Job's relics, because I like the option of being able to leave if the group and not have to listen to people bitch. People make groups and shout generally to avoid the follies of inexperience that DF brings.

Stop being mad at people who make groups. They take on the responsibility, they can have whatever standard they want. Period.

Elitists: What happened to not having everything handed to you? Hear me out. You get the highest gear, good for you, you worked for it. But, by your own words, now you want everything handed to you. You want to farm as quickly and easily as possible so you can get whatever else it is you're getting. But what about the challenge, what about the hard work of doing these fights with people who have lower gear levels. You don't want to work for the tokens you're earning, you want them handed to you?

I remember the thread that talked about this... people were so defensive about their gear.

This is one of the reasons I say we need to stop with "welfare epics" (like they say in WoW). The moment you force people to complete harder content to get gear, the zerg/speedrun mentality disappears.

Why not make your own group?

I'm not anti-helping new people out, so I'm not defending irrational people. I just don't understand your logic at all -- people who usually QQ about pug standards are the ones unwilling to help themselves.

Elitist or not, many players will not want to take the 30 minute hit even if you are wearing your swimsuit.


I'm guessing you can't queue into Duty finder because you're under geared with the new gear requirement. In that case there's nothing to be mad about since the group doesn't want to risk taking an under geared into the fight.
