    This applies to heals, too, which leads to ridiculous combat log texts.

    It's just the way this game is programmed, unfortunately (and has nothing whatsoever to do with latency). They would have to completely redo the combat code to fix it.

    I start casting stoneskin.
    twintania starts casting death sentence
    Stoneskin applys to tank and shows on his buff list
    1.5 seconds later death sentence finshes casting and does damage
    Stoneskin absorbs none of death sentence and stays on the tank to absorb the next attack


    Any whm who uses stoneskin much in combat can probably relate to this, This games combat is a mess. I dont know if its latency or coding, probably a bit of both, but it effects everything. its not "Intended" with benediction as it effects every other ability the same way. Benediction has a long animation so it compounds the issue same as paladin invincible. Scholar lustrates animation is much shorter so it has a much higher chance of saving the tank but it still suffers the same issues just like everything else in the game.
