Tired of benediction fail

Tired of using spells and not getting the effects...

The other day I used Aetherflow but never got the stacks, ever... like.. I was derp, why can't I lustrate? I just aetherflowed! oh... no stacks... maybe I didn't click right? Oh... CD is up... Hmm... Sup? Hello??

Also this is far more common for Convert on BLM, you use it but don't get the mana, or it gets used too early so Flare consumes all the mana you gained from it.

Or well, using swiftcast and inmidately start casting a spell, expecting it to be instant cast, but nope, you're hardcasting the spell and the swiftcast buff is still on you... sup??

This is ridiculous, using our spells and not getting their effects but them going on cooldown is just outrageous!

(this used to happen with Transpose as well, but since they changed a tiny bit how the AF and UI stacks apply it doesn't happen much anymore, maybe also cause I don't use it too often and when I do I'm careful, I always have to be careful when using instant casts that are out of the GCD :/ )

This happens to me quite a few times. I wonder whether it was me clicking wrong buttons...but no....I thought maybe cos it was x-class it derped...but hey..

Skills are evil

I've experienced both the aetherflow and Swiftcast issues. Swiftcast isn't as painful, just cancel cast and recast. Should be instant.

I've also received vice versa. Got stacks, no MP. I think that ones worse, lol. Luckily, the instances where it happened there was a bard to mage's ballad once I got low on MP.

The Aetherflow thing only happened once, but I dont play scholar THAT much, and I dont aetherflow right between casts that often (I noticed these spells glitch more often when used right between casts or casts animations, like when you try to do too many things one after the other, the problems start to show)

And when aetherflow glitched, I didn't get mana back neither (this wasn't a problem since I was gonna be full with that cast, so I didn't have amna issues then) Is just bullshit using skills, them going on cooldown (meaning you actually used them) but not getting any of the effects they are supposed to have.

In regards of swiftcast and cancelling cast, it's a lost of time that could be used on adding more damage, sure, it's not THAT big of a deal, in only rare ocassions it would be the difference between a wipe and a win, but still.

Didn't really know a better way to summarize your post without doing *snip* because I like to try and keep the general idea in the summary.

The Aetherflow issue happens to me more often that it should. =/ Maybe once or twice a day. It's usually gain MP, no stacks. Most of the time I'd rather take the MP than stacks though because I don't use lustrate all that much, and end up just burning them on Energy Drain before using Aetherflow again.

Some people however do open a quote on someone and replace what they said for whatever bs is convinient for them at the moment. xD

Btw, try to give it split a second before using Aetherflow, and then another split second before using something right after. That might help solve those times were the effects don't apply.

I have no issue with a 5 min cooldown. It's pretty short if you ask me; better than a 2hr cooldown XD.

But yes missing the cast is one thing but burning the CD is kinda annoying and confusing as well.

This, and the rest of the issues. I've had people die even on PLANNED benedictions, as well as gone into hard casts through Swiftcast+(holy/medica/etc.). SE needs to address/fix this.

If target dies, at least macro fails and you save yourself a 5 min CD.

edit: also helpful if you're out of range of your <t>, so you just don't bene yourself

This doesn't work. I have a Benediction macro myself. If the target dies (which is usually the only reason benediction fails), you still will cast Benediction
