Free Companies disbandend due to FC houses?

It is only been a while since the new update and it seems like some of the more active (older) members of the FC the I belong to have left and started their on thing.

Before the update they was fine, but now they left. I don't know why, but perhaps this clique (if I can say that) decided to form their own FC to hava a house of their own or it all can be due to politics.


Anyways, the abandonment of FC have been predicted by other people. Have you experienced the same thing?

Most people that I've talked to have fully abandoned any plans on buying FC property.

The investment level is too high. The members with obnoxious amounts of money have no reason to 'carry' the FC when they can simply buy their own place straight up, so we're not getting help there. Those members who were early 1.0 barely have 100-200k to their name, and those that are 50 and running dungeons are not reporting '20k' a day figures. Yoshi-P is still a bullsh*tter there. Those of us inbetween know that the gil faucet isn't as big as Yoshi wants us to believe, and there isn't enough money to realistically purchase a plot of land prior to the 3 month plateau.


That was the big reason to hide the plot prices to the last minute. They knew it was outrageous and had the delusional belief that the 'rich' players have any interest in spending ALL their monies on people who aren't. Everyone is now abandoning any plans to sacrifice ALL their gil for an 'unobtainable' goal and are now holding off to see what happens to personal housing, which will likewise see another round of punishing inequity against players on legacy servers, with no expectation that even with a years worth of money hording that they'll be able to afford it.

This goes well into the territory of 'sticker shock', and people are walking out the door in droves. They've managed to set the prices so high that they've got everyone on the defensive fiscally and any attempt to convince them that 'personal housing' is going to be 'affordable' will get you laughed at so hard they may just kick you for being a gullible idiot. After making sure you donated 100k to the FC.

All of the players with massive gil banks are not a part of the player economy. They're a drain, selling off what they don't need and growing the wallet. They're almost all omni-50's and can produce for themselves and are completely independant of the player markets. They will not buy furniture, they will farm it themselves and build it themselves because they can. If they DO buy anything, it may be pittance things that will certainly not put a dent in the overall market flow.

My FC has two of such players. Nobody expects them to suddenly empty their wallets on behalf of the other 10 active members of the FC. They don't. I don't. Yoshi must have been sniffing moogle farts when he thought suddenly wealthy players would become self-sacrificial philanthropists and zero out their wallets for the sake of any FC. They're good people, yes. Ask for help, you get a hand. Ask for a house, and they say "f**k no" just like any other sane player.

Adamantoise isn't a legacy server. It's in the 2nd cheapest bracket. ~80M for the cheapest 'Large" plot (which is no different than the highest in terms of the property itself, just location variance)

Yoshida said that legacy servers prices will fall towards 3rd tiers price in 3 months, that would mean 50 millions for the same kind of house you referred to. And 3 months will fly by while people gather money.

Open a game company and let's see how much you can promise and do beforehand, making everyone happy. I bet my testicles on the chopping board that you won't be able to and no other company out there can, small or big.

The Gil is in the game. The trouble is, it's bot grade grind. some of the 1star 55 recipes for roofs and walls are 1337 vendor rated but you would need to make thousands, requiring tens of thousands of crystals, shards for component and mats.


SqEnix have done pretty much everything in reaction to bots and RMT and that pretty much makes them Bot and RMT puppets.
