Any company who sells a disk to a grip of people and then turn around 2 months later and say "Sorry this game is trash, we are closing servers" is going to go out of business. They have to keep this game running for a certain amount of time so they can claim to have provided the service it requires for a reasonable amount of time before they "have" to shut it down to even slightly get away with such a fail product. I for one purchased an $80 disk with my chips and they didn't have enough salt so I'm pissed.

BTW tell your customers to STFU because there is salt on the table if they don't like it. Problem here is... SE didn't even provide me with extra salt.. Stop trying to make everything ok, nobody is going to read your post and change their mind on a dime. Good job buddy.
They don't have to provide you with anything. If they so choose, they can cut their loses and stop the game service right now. Do you truly believe Square Enix would go out of business? It's possible. But I'm not trying to make the point that they would.

The ONLY point I'm trying to make, and have ever tried to make here in this thread, is that people are acting ridiculous. Sorry. That's my opinion. You certainly have a right to disagree.

(This is my form of complaining, I suppose. Complaining about the complainers...I'd just as rather tell all of you to "STFU because there is salt on the table if they don't like it," but since I understand what you're going through, I will not. Plus, that would be rather rude.)
