This is how mine is set up:

First window is "general" and is on the bottom. It shows everything except battle content that is not related to me.
Second chat tab on the first window is "battle". It shows everything that is battle related and hides the rest.

Second window is "linkshell" and is placed above the first window. It only shows LS chat.
Second chat tab on the second window is "party" and only shows say, shout, tell, and party chat.
I have one window for battle content and the other window is for social chat (say, shout, pt, linkshells). I can't remember if I have any tabs, I haven't looked much into the customization tbh. But I should probably have tabs for Shout & say, one for pt and one for ls in addition to the universal tab with all.
