Takes all the fun out of it if it's just handed to us like that
    R50 is only a temp cap until the game is back on track, who knows maybe you need to be R50 to unlock Jobs and you unlock stuff for it on the way up to R99 or whatever the finall cap will be.

    Maybe it will work like merit points from FFXI and you unlock skills that way too.

It's more about the weapon than it is in the title in FFXIV and that seems to be something people can't get their heads round.
    It is a matter of opinions which is what I said, you like the current system and I do not end of.

    Do not assume though that I can't get my head around the Armoury system because I don't like it as I fully aware of it's in's and out's and that is why I do not like it.

    Like I said FFXI had it right and allowed you to use different weapons for different situations while still remaining on the same job. FFXIV does not look like it will allow this and that is what I do not like.

    Sounds lame to me. The reason they did it this way was so you wouldn't have to take specalisations up to 50 and suffer for it like you do in FFXI. No, even now, a WHM isn't going to be able to solo well in FFXI for your average player. God knows what it's like to level BRD up.
    Who says that leveling PLD has to be the same experience as leveling GLA? We really have no idea at this point how different the classes would be. Plus you can always adapt a new approach when you start anew. It's only boring and lame if you make it that way by choosing to repeat all your previous actions.

    Î would say for Time Mage you need Arcanist

    If at the end, this is the way it will be, it's not bad, but I would like more If at hit lv. 30 or 50 with (for example) Gladiator, you may unlock paladin, and level it from lv. 1.

    Of course maybe SE did this this way to not make people enter in /rage Mode (that they will enter anyway) and with future jobs maybe you will need Lancer (or Dragoon) at X level, to unlock Samurai, or maybe you just will need to do a quest.

    I like the fact that you need to have X Job leveld at Z level, to unlock Y job, and I like the quest unlocking method, like in FFXI, so I don't mind :P

    After all, we just want the jobs we always had. It doesn't matter the way so much =)

    Yeah I'm not going to lie. Gladiator is already a waste of a party slot for levelling in the field and last man on the totem pole in low-man situations. There's just no need for one. Paladin would be even more pointless to invite.

    Relevelling a specialist off a regular class would be painful unless they cut the sp to 50 of the classes by 75%.

    This isn't a korean grind.

    Think about it this way. Jobs do not have levels or ranks, but you can progress that job by questing for all of the abilities to further benefit that role and become more efficient.

    THM = Red Mage
    CON = WHM / BLM

    I'm not sure which way they'll go with Conjurer. Very likely it'll be Black Mage, and Thaumaturge will go the way of Red Mage with stronger healing abilities. Buffs, debuffs, and curing seems like a full time position while Conjurer focuses on elemental magic.

    what doesn't make sense is if jobs will have the same level as your class... then what is the purpose of having levels for jobs?

    Maybe this wasn't translate properly or it's fake...
