Yeah, cause I'm gonna be pretty sad if I find out that the only battle class I've spent time on (Conjurer) doesn't unlock White Mage. A WHM is all I ever wanted to be. :/
I've realized that this is a potential issue ever since the dev post said that they were thinking one class to one job. So I've put leveling my CON on hiatus until I get some more information.
You are level 24 and worried about that? You can get R24 in about 3 days without really even trying...
And I'm pretty sure this news is official; it was released in one of the newer Q&As.

If I'm not mistaken, the quoted information in the OPs link, which was originally posted by Rentahamster, was actually posted on the official forums to begin with...last week.

Where you guys been? ^^
Weapons are just weapons. They'll add new weapons and jobs I'm sure.
I really don't want to take something else up the ranks just for a party role.
Oh god I hope this isn't true! I want the experience of leveling my selected job from the low ranks to the cap, I don't want my job to automatically end up at 50 because my whatever class is 50!
Please let us level jobs seperately!!!!!

I am one who finds levelling systems completely useless and just a way to make you devote more time into a game (Essentially paying more as months go by) but for some reason I think this is an extremely bad move by SE because there are a lot who are wanting traditional levelling styles.
I mean really, you spend a month say getting 50, you spend a hour or 2 on the quest and your not rank 50 x class, you go do a few dungeons, mess around but you cant progress any further. Cant look forward to any skills. Its all been given to you like your on a private server. If they stated a level cap to 75 same time I suppose that be better cuse you'd be right away be able to gain on it, but that is not coming for a long time.
no, jobs dont have many skills, you have to get most of your skills from the base class, and options from some other classes, why would you want to level that up seperately, its going to be virtually the same as the initial class. and they implied you will have to quest for most/all skills you get.
do you really want to level your base job all over again, because you get slight tweaks and limitations?I am one who finds levelling systems completely useless and just a way to make you devote more time into a game (Essentially paying more as months go by) but for some reason I think this is an extremely bad move by SE because there are a lot who are wanting traditional levelling styles.

Because the Battle system is going to be completely redone and it should be a new and different experienceno, jobs dont have many skills, you have to get most of your skills from the base class, and options from some other classes, why would you want to level that up seperately, its going to be virtually the same as the initial class. and they implied you will have to quest for most/all skills you get.
