Doesn't matter that they're "easy to get". It matters that they're a currency with a weekly limit that's essentially gone to waste because of an error SE made.

Reverted now. Bump.
This shows how rigid Square Enix's patch structure is. The error was known before server went live, they even apologized in the patch note reading session. Over the next 24 hours when they applied the patch, they could not revert that one single change.
I wish Square Enix would review the patch structure and build a more agile system, allowing such simple fixes to be approved and applied quickly.
It's unbelievable how it takes over a week after publicly acknowledging the error to fix it.

Submit a support ticket through the lodestone, and in-game if you wish as well. That's what I did.
Anyone paying attention to the notes already bought their respective gear in preparation for the gear change as it was known about well before the patch went live. Then we were informed that it was a mistake while the patch was already being deployed and the damage had already been done. I didn't mind that things were being changed in the first place, but to change them back because of an error causes people to do things they normally wouldn't have. Personally, I bought the Cleric's Circlet, and now those myth tomes are completely wasted as I will never use this helm while the Allagan Circlet of Healing has determination on it. I want my tomes back that I wasted because of their mistake and inability to communicate ahead of time. They had plenty of time to amend the patch notes prior to the patch release, I even waited until the last hours to purchase my helm.
They shouldn't, and don't have to do anything. It's no one's fault but your own that you decided to spend 495 myth on a new piece because you want some minor stats that in the long run, make very little difference to your performance. It's no one's fault but your own that you didn't read the forums and find out about the revert during the full week you had before today. There was even this thread that was made 6 days ago, on the front page that clearly states there was a rollback happening, I could easily find more examples since this wasn't even the thread I used to find out myself. The part where the issue arises is that they made posts about it after the fact. There was plenty of time for them to realize their mistake before deploying the patch, but they didn't. Their misinformation lead to people miss-preparing for something that was originally a mistake. They should rectify all damage done by their ignorance.
A whole new level of whining, you could put a zenith on it.
I love how people are arguing with the OP... why are you guys defending SE when you know what they did was foul? Do you honestly excuse them not announcing this to NA players while JP players got priority? This isn't excusable. It doesn't even affect me, but some of you SE white knights are just horrible to this community. You're the reason they feel they can get away with treating us like crap in the first place.
I read the OP, I'm not defending SE at all, I just hate the audacity that people have that they somehow deserve something because something was changed. Should I complain about how I spent all my Myth on PLD now WAR is the better tank? Should I complain about how I spent my myth on Relic +1s when I can just farm EMs now? Or how about the primal accessories? The arrogance in expecting compensation because something changed is astounding.I love how people are arguing with the OP... why are you guys defending SE when you know what they did was foul? All Coil BIS are built around getting the exact amount of accuracy you need for 100% hit rate. Until 2.1 the widely accepted BIS for BLM (for Crit/Det, some people prefer Spell Speed based ones, but even that has the same issue, as it used Food in the first place to hit the Acc cap), is as follows:
SD Rod+1
Sorcerer's Petasos
Sorcerer's Coat
Sorcerer's Gloves
Allagan Rope Belt of Casting
Allagan Breeches of Casting
Allagan Boots of Casting or Sorcerer's Crakows
Hero's Necklace of Casting
Allagan Earrings of Casting
Hero's Bracelet of Casting
Hero's Ring of Casting
Allagan Ring of Casting
This gives you 440 Accuracy, just over the 435 (or so, I believe it may be 432 cap, I go with 435 to be safe) cap for Coil. Losing the boots puts you down to 425.
Remember this is 2.0. BIS changed in 2.1 as Garudas Ring gives 16 accuracy.
And no offence, but if you expect to get the accuracy cap just from the accuracy Sorcerer's Coat gives you, you have no idea what you're talking about.
The level of white knighting in this thread is making my head hurt.
