Error 2002 - Cannot play the game

Roommate is having the same issue, him and me are hardwired into the same router and wife is wireless on PS3. Me and wife aren't having the issue at all. Tried a number of things from system restoring to configuring firewall, turning off and removing the anti virus to contacting our ISP and still no resolution. Hope a response or conformation is given at least! Just curious what version of windows everyone is using? roommate is on win7 home edition.

Regarding the thread: Error 2002 I believe it's important to note that this issue has resurfaced. It was locked so obviously we can't continue the thread but the information matches what we are experiencing.

It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.

It would be great if we had more input on this error. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC & the have updated to the latest PS3 version. I have yet to re-install my OS, but that is my next attempt to remedy this error.
