reinstall
yelling at screen
some sort of cmd prompt bullshit
run as admin
making internet explorer my default browser

what do these numbers mean?

Im having the exact same issue, been trying different solutions for a few hours, still nothing, might try restarting the computer...

I got the same error, then tried logging in again and got a different, much more vague error which just replaced the login area with red text. Upon closing and relaunching the client, the Log In button is unresponsive, even after multiple attempts and waiting for several minutes (I have high speed internet).

I find it ironic that I never had any such problem until an update which supposedly fixed it.

Similar issue, but I am getting:
Unable to update patch files. [11005][20815][20866][19900][1224]

and then gives file path for ffxivboot.exe

This isn't the first time I have had this problem after a patch and I can't remember how it got solved last time it happened.

I moved my game folder off my System drive (ssd) and onto my data drive and it works now for me.

i have same problem, cant start the game since yesterday ....
i tried changing read/write right , turned off antivirus, uninstalled game, nothing , i dunno what to do..... and it pisses me off to a point...

Turning off norton firewall worked for me....go figure
