How many of you actually play anymore?

This is a legitimate question, as there are quite a few people I know that no longer play, but keep checking the Lodestone and forums for updates. I am one of them. I'm curious as to how many people here actually play the game as opposed to just stopping by now and then to see if there is any news?

And on that topic... there have been no big updates for a long time, you'd think with a game so unbelievably broken as this one, SE would do their best to keep people interested. I've gone from checking Once/twice a day to once a week at best. Who else is in the same boat? I want this game to do well so badly, but I feel that SE is shooting themselves in the foot by taking so damn long... I hope they know this game is pretty much off the radar for almost anyone who plays MMOs except those still around, or at least hoping for a good game eventually.

As for updates, they will shoot a bigger hole if they release an update before it's ready.

I play just because its still free and I know a lot of people in the game that makes it a bit more enjoyable. If it wasn't for my LS mates I would have quit long ago.

I play on and off. Sometimes I won't touch it for weeks and sometimes I'll play every day, it all depends on the mood I'm in.

Me! Just started. Am enjoying it so far. Although I think the beginning cutscenes/intro to game is kind of lame and controls are pretty annoying.

A few friends and I stopped playing 2 months ago, and many more friends we started with haven't played since like November. I think the latter will not come back unless FFXIV becomes awesome. The few friends who left "recently" might come back if 1.18 delivers. If not, well they'll keep waiting and so will I, it's not like we're forced to play. But right now I'd rather sit with a stick in my garden than play FFXIV >.>
