    I think the problem is you have finally met a few SMN's who know how to play the class.

    The few PvP matches I have played the other team made sure I went down in the first few seconds and slept the healer to prevent me from being raised.

    I get why people complain about our damage but we can only take someone down in one rotation if we manage to get all out of spells on them, which means you team is not doing what they are supposed to be doing, i.e. Esuna and sleeping.

    Oh and another tip, don't stack up because if we do get all out dots on you, the rest of your team will most likely get them too! haha (That won a match for me last night after a 10 minutes battle)

    Leave SMNs alone, in XI we were worthless other than hour 2 hour attack.

    Sorry but I didn't played XI and I really dont care if they were worthless there, this is another game.

    The issue it's not SMN alone, the real issue is when you put 2 SMNs or 1 SMN 1 BLM together, and yeah SMN is OP but its still possible to kill it if you try reaaally hard and you have a good team (and someone with sleep of course). The main problem in PvP is the long time of debuffs like sleep/slow/bind/Disease and the use of swiftcast. SMN is just the one to blame because he haves every one of them. Of course we all know SMN dps is really big with all the dots, and its not hard to use them when more than half of them are instacast, and if your opponent can't run because all the debuffs.

    I suppose SE is thinking in "End game PvP" where you will get a feast on resistance materias, but we aren't near end game PvP and for what I can see the only ones who will get there are teams with 2 SMNs - 1 SMN/ 1 BLM.

    I like PvP, but between all the issues I think I will stop going as a melee until they fix them.

    Simple solution: SE remove instarez with swiftcast from pvp for every class, then tell me if works better and fair

    We have si...five DoTs. Bio II, Miasmia, Bio, Miasmia II, and Shadow Flare. Only Miasmia II and Bio are instants. They're also the weakest, and miasmia II doesn't spread through Bane, and can't be lengthened through Contagion, and you have to be close to be hit with it. Shadow Flare has a huge windup (unless I swiftcast, but then I'm giving up a quickcast raise), and can be avoided simply by not walking into it. Bane and Fester instant cast, but in both cases I'm going to want to have you riddled with the big 3 (Bio II, Miasmia, Bio) before hitting you with it.

    I do think they should have teams have 1 ranged dps and 1 melee dps for the make up. Should stop some of the more annoying combos. I will agree that 2 BLMS, 2 SMNs, or a BLM and SMN would be obnoxious as hell.

    PvP is like any other PvP - I relate it to first person shooters - there will always be a disadvantage for someone and there will be players that will master PvP quickly - the right job, the right macros, some will have special controller setups, etc. PvP in just about every MMO I've played have ended up the same - they die out quickly, used by FC and LS for some fun for weekly events and such, and if you have competitive FCs and LSs even better.

    If you make every job 'equal' or get to pick and choose how you nerf the jobs (ridiculous to even be mentioned - but hey, it's posted) all you'll have is a bunch of expert macro creators or button mashers playing PvP.

    There should be a way to setup matches/instances with certain restrictions on entry. Could use the Party Finder interface to get it done. Then you could setup matches with no SMNs, or all melee setup, or SMN and no whm's, all smn matchs, etc. but something tells me, they'll be complaints about that too....
