No Mouse / Flashing Mouse Cursos in Fullscreen (Windows Vista)

Why can I not see my mouse if I try and play the game in fullscreen mode? This has been an issue since the game came out and it's still not fixed.

I thought I remember seeing that it was supposed to be fixed with 2.1, but I happened to try it out today and it still doesn't work.
