FFXIV: Different and Unique

hmm true, I agree I hope FFXIV do take many great things from FFXI but still keep its uniqueness that makes it stand out from other FF games as well as any other MMORPG in general.

I'm not asking for a direct exact copy, no XI fan is asking for that trust me.
Take the basics of whats there that is great and has been loved for 10 years and improve on it add a little slap ya momma seasoning, some hot sauce, a squeez of lemon, mix in some real final fantasy classes, toss that bad boy in the oven and bam FFXIV its whats for dinner!
I for one would love it!
