Why is SE deleting threads complaining about Housing?

Is this not an open forum for discussion? Are we not allowed to talk about what we like/dislike in the game?

I am confused, this is the general discussion board no?

I get it if they are getting out of hand, then lock them. But outright deleting every post is just wrong.

I think it's because there were too many threads with the same subject saying the same things. Maybe they want to consolidate everything in a single place, making it easier to keep a track of the community's opinions. I think a thread with many pages on the same subject with hundred of likes for the OP, showing the majority's support to the cause, has a better impact than 50 threads with "Fail SE is fail I quit!" subject.

It's because complaints and suggestions should be posted in the complaints and suggestions forum.

They have stated many times that they lock and move them to viewable only by Mods/Admins. So they are not technically deleted. Im sure it effects # of posts as the forums I run do.

Probably because multiple threads about it are not really needed, which I support. There is one-two main threads, and as long as those remain open I have no complaints. If they were honestly trying to censor all negativity, then those threads would have been closed as well.
