Unable to use duty finder after being disconnected.

To be honest i'm tired of all this "Punishment system" SE is implementing in a videogame we all pay for.

At least when you implement something like a punishment, make sure that its directed towards who deserves it. I got disconnected from the game while being in PVP arena, and when i got back in (after 1 minute since my net just accidentally blacked out) i found myself dead, out of the instance and with 30 minutes penalty on joining DF.

Its stupid frankly, that wasnt intentional. So if you are unable to provide a working system for every possible occasions, simply, DONT implement it.

Even if it wasn't intentional, your unstable connection is ruining an instance for everyone else involved. Why shouldn't someone who experiences constant disconnects for a period of time long enough to be removed from the instance (be it PvP or PvE) be kept from joining and ruining yet another for some other unknowing party?

Who said anything about "constant disconnects"? It happened once.

Blame your ISP provider, not SE.

I don't think SE can read your internet connection and determine that you're disconnected by accident.
Here another genius, SE can determine if you disconnect from the game, or if you leave the instance intentionally and keep stayin in game.
Internet provider had nothing to do since a black out turn offs your modem.

    Gotta love those people.

@DarkB - They can't, unfortunately. If evading their countermeasures was as easy as simply pulling the plug on your router rather than clicking the disconnect button, everyone would do it.

They really have very little choice. While they *can* tell the difference, they can't distinguish between the two for a countermeasure to be effective. I agree that it sucks, but if it's a not a very routine issue, it shouldn't be a huge deal. If it is, then you should look at changing ISPs, probably.

PS - I just had the same thing happen to me; oddly, it seems that getting disconnected if you're using Roulette at least kicks you out of the instance entirely. Odd...
