    Frequent R0

Details: While trying to play my receive latency frequently drops to 0 and stays there for about a minute. I usually don't get disconnected.

    Steps:
    1: no problems logging in
2: once I start playing for about 1-2 minutes R latency goes to 0
    3: R0 continues from 30 seconds to 1 minute
4: I die if I'm in the middle of a fight
5: R latency returns to normal

I've tried the following to resolve:
    1: opening firewall ports
    2: disabling the firewall entirely
3: port forwarding on my router
4: connecting directly to my modem.

Date & Time: Anytime since May 23rd, 2011
    Frequency: Every couple minutes
    Platform: PC
PC Manufacturer & Model Number: Custom Built
    OS: Windows 7, 64
    Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 480
    Type of Internet Connection: Cable

It working fine when I was playing in the states, but I just moved to Korea and starting playing again. This is the only game that gives me any problems.

You're going to have to post in the correct template sooner or later, so I suggest you look at every other thread in this section.

I remember multiple people having FFXIV connection problems using a Korean ISP. Unfortunately I don't have any useful advice to give you.

I had this problem all through beta and after on Win 7 64 bit. I tried about 6 different wireless routers with the same result. 4 different wireless cards with the same result. I tried wired and it worked fine. I finally bought a netgear device that plugs into the wired port and connects wireless mostly used for Xbox 360 and other devices, but so far so good. No more R0. Networking is definately strange with Win 7 64 bit with this game all other games are fine I used to play.

just an odd thing I learned this weekend. if you have a ps3 and use the wireless option, it has a tendency (through the miracle of technology) to interfere with router's Upnp protocol, causing them to restart and dropping connections for short periods of time. If you think this may be the case, changing to a wired connection for the ps3 should fix the issue.

Since the last update I too have had constant R0'ing to the extent that I have just logged in and went immediately to R0. I am in the UK. Before th update everything was working fine now it has become unplayable. I have not changed any settings or fiddled with anything.
