    Game Time Compesation Personal Request Only

    As the patch took in some cases close to 48 hours to fix and is still needing another maintainence I think it would be usual to offer some form of game-time reimbursement.
    There is no customer service phone or link it would appear in this game so I am having to post in an open forum. I am for some reason unable to post in the technical section either so it only remains I am forced to post in the open section (Troll section). This is my own view I do not wish a debate I purely wish to ask for something I feel that Square Enix owes me. Locking the thread is fine by me as long as someone from Square Enix replies one way or another. It will decide for me if I am in a good game or not.

    Good luck with that. I post something similar time ago. and players reply where basically. "We want to stick with it, no reimbursement, we like to live paying for hours of no playtime"(sarcasm inside, but that's the idea)

    SE can take however long they need to do maintenance for without any compensation to you - it's in the Terms of Service you legally agreed to when you signed up. The only time they would give such reimbursement is if the game is taken offline for an unusually long length of time, and then only in extreme cases.

    Thank you both for taking the time to comment in the only way I find acceptable. I am not going to start the tired debate about TOS being illegal as it is in International law. I only thought unlike most games I play/sub (WOW,RIFT,DRAGONS PROPHET,EQ2) this game may have some sort of credibility it would appear I am mistaken as no one except players replied to me which is somewhat expected though dissapointing. It is the fact that a quite basic net issue took a extremely long time that I thought Square Enix would offer compensation I am aware they will think they do not owe it but I am not debating that just wondering why they feel the customer should be responsible for staff issues.
    Thank you again both of you as it would appear that SE has no customer contact numbers or links other than subbing issues I will review renewal as competition is vast. They have my game email so no need to sign in here again as its kinda pointless.

    Yes, you can contact SE regarding this matter in your Square Enix Management pages but you might not have looked in there as it's not immediately obvious, the option however is there.
    It's a difficult one because you feel frustrated that your 'game time' is being disrupted. But maybe in future you could write to SE and announce the next time you are going to leave the house and not play this game so that they can arrange maintenance to suit you. perhaps if you tell them that you are going to the shops for 15 minutes and let them know which time zone you are in, they can arrange to get a small chunk of maintenance done when you're out?

    If you let them know when you plan on sleeping then I imagine they could get quite a bit done as well, perhaps if they organise maintenance in this way then it could compensate you a little?

    I like their maintenance times so far. Haven't had any issues and I work 3rd shift in the est zone as well. Maybe going outside and playing a sport during maintenance periods may alleviate your game hunger issues? SE gave us free play time in the beginning but obviously you give an inch and people take a mile. Must be the reason why they hesitate to give free game time to begin with lol.
