I'm so trying this when I get in the mood (and feel like crafting the PvP set... ugh)
The only thing BLM has over THM is pure damage.

you do get blood for blood as thm.and yes.it works on your spells

It's funny because this game was designed in such a way that you are to play exactly as Squeenix wants and must not deviate from that path. Once you have access to a job you must never return to the base class.
Now you've found, if it's true and players will definitely find out, what could be a huge disruption to that design.
It's going to be fun to sit back and watch this unfold.
Will players abuse this? Will it become better to use the base class than the job 'advancement'? Will Squeenix allow this? Will they frantically try to fix it? How?

Why would SE not allow it?It's funny because this game was designed in such a way that you are to play exactly as Squeenix wants and must not deviate from that path. Once you have access to a job you must never return to the base class.

Until now it was only the community who said that a class is useless after the job is unlocked, not SE.

I had a similar thought in terms of taking CNJ > WHM. I'd take survivability over MND potency in PvP
Server: Sargatanas || Main Job: Scholar || Chocobo: Bonchon

Some other useful Cross skills I've found for THM:
Foresight- Def + 20% Buff.
Bloodbath- All Attacks have Drain effect.
Mercy Stroke- High-Damage move that heals on a kill.
Internal Release- Crit Rate + 20%
Awareness- Decreases odds of suffering a crit 25%.
Party Support:
Mantra- Cure Magic + 10% on entire party.

I speculated quite a while ago that classes would have some utility in PvP. I'm waiting to see if that holds true. The PvP gear allows both class and job so it would be interesting to see as time goes by what kind of group compositions are seen.
