Ridiculous? Not really. I have a LS mate who has been getting all her classes to 50 manually without the aid of any bots or support programs and playing almost constantly and she still hasn't got there even though she's been playing since near launch.

According to FFXIV Pro, there are only 86 characters across all servers that have maxed out all classes. And we know RMT and character selling exists.

Having Rank 50 in all classes should by all rights raise an eyebrow. But then, you are right in that I have no proper proof, so hence the term "suspected".
