Its one of those chicken and the egg things. Nobody uses it, so its useless. But its useless, because nobody uses it. People have to be aware of the system and support the system for it to work. It would be really awesome if people did, though. I'll admit, its habit to resort to shouts or completely forget it exists. It kind of does need an "awareness campaign". XD

I had to remind my pt leader it existed. Then we found a dragoon for our coil party in 20 seconds.
Keep in mind that while you may not see anyone putting themselves up, that doesn't mean there isn't a group of people (however few) who occasionally check it while shouting/whatever. If people are persistent with using it, hopefully it'll snowball. People seem to like to jab the game with the whole having to sit in one place and spam /shout to do certain content, so you'd think being able to list yourself and then do other stuff while waiting (like with the DF queue that's obviously popular up to a point) would be an easy sell, people just have to be persistent at the start.

Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
Exactly, it just requires the community to really adopt it. I think if/when it catches on, it will be a very nice improvement for many people.Keep in mind that while you may not see anyone putting themselves up, that doesn't mean there isn't a group of people (however few) who occasionally check it while shouting/whatever. Can SE disable duty finder for a week so we're forced to use the party finder?
I can only hope that people start using this over the duty finder so that the duty finder becomes a ghost town and they stop trying to jam the horrible duty finder system down our throats.
im here using it in Masamune and most i see only Japanese use it the most.
also yea im using it.
What I do is I'll throw up party finder, then shout including "Please join via party finder" or something in the shout.
It's nice because it makes it so you don't have to include a bunch of info in the shout. All the info they need is in the PT finder.
People just need to be made aware of it, then it'll catch on.
