    How critical is Morale?

I'm really not sure, but I threw on a bunch of HQ PvP accessories (ilvl55) alongside my lv90 PvE stuff... immediately it seemed like I was both taking less damage and doing more, despite the loss of intelligence (SMN).

My concern though is putting on lv55/70 gear in the other slots is going to drop my HP a lot. Is it going to be worth it to take such a substantial ilvl hit to gain Morale? All the lv90 pvp gear requires rank 30 and that's still a waaays off.

Morale, i believe is the key stat for pvp. So while you may have less hp you will take considerably less damage than you would in your pve gear while at the same time increasing your damage output. I am collecting the mats for the set right now as i am really enjoying pvp so far.....but im a Black Mage so take that as you will lol.

it seems like the level 55 crafted stuff is about on par with the level 90 pve gear for inside the arena outside of weapon. Your hp and stats are much lower but you take way less damage and deal more

I would imagine just saving for the 70 stuff will be good enough though if your already using 90 gear. Maybe even the 90 set since it seems pvp ranks go by quickly

Generally speaking a PvP stat is going to trump everything else from PvE if the design is supposed to make sense, but more than one game have ended up with PvP stats that do not make sense. In the case of FF14 it's also complicated by the fact that since there's no numerical explanation of what Morale does, it'd take longer for people to compile the data as well.

the way I figure it is morale calculates what percentage of your other stats get used. In other words it's the base in which everything gets
    calculated from.
