Players will be able to earn 20k gil per day

Just by doing the various battle contents.

That is the justification of housing prices given in the Patch Note Reading event.

So per month, each player is expected to earn 600k.
An FC with 20 members would have 12M in a month.
An FC with 100 members would have 60M in a month.

I wonder how long it would take per day to earn 20k in 2.1.

EDIT: Deleting this as it was not my original intention. That was one of the main reasons I left WoW...it became work, not play anymore. You log in everyday to repeat the same daily quests and the same dungeons. You either do it, or be shut out of half the content available to players.

Yes. The reason why battle content was used was because it would be the content that was worst at making money, i.e., it is considered the "minimum wage" for all players. Let's not turn this into a brag fest.

Although I must admit my last paragraph must have turned the post from just informative to a complaint. I'm not complaining, it was just a reflection that came to me while I was typing the post. Sorry about that.

Yup, a WOW-like daily grind is now SE's business model for FFXIV.

Than don't make it work. Just keep playing and do the stuff you want to do. Sooner or later your fc will have enough gil to buy a house.

At least this willl be based on allowances, right? So it's not exactly "daily"...Meaning that if you don't want to log one day, you can catch up the next one.

    Or I am mistaken?

what fc has 100 active members in this game, do they even exist?

this statement of his just further solidifies that this feature is a non feature since nobody can use it. if you do want to use it you have to subject yourself to a crazy korean f2p style grind, only you are paying a sub too for the privilege. all that time and company funds/game sales/our subs is completely wasted. gg.

Which battle content are you looking at? The beastmen daily quests or rewards for leves?

    EDIT: beaten.

You can skip the daily content and still getting the same rewards with other systems (Myth tomes, items drops and Gil). And there are even better ways to get any of that without the daily quests. It's up to you.

This isn't the way I will be making my gil. I rarely play wow these days thanks to an endless daily grind. 20k a day is chump change compared to the gil you can make selling materials on the MB, even with RMT competition. There are plenty of crafts and gathers than can reel you in some clinks, get creative, learn a job, farm some mats, makes some sales. If you are good at making gil, offer the people in your fc who are not some advice.

This doesn't have to be your only way of obtaining gil. my daily intake of gil is roughly 80-180k right now and I know people who are making even more than that with spirit bonding.

EDIT: Not bragging, just offering examples of ways to make gil and how much you can potentially make, no need to be an ass.

If you think we just had a nice conversation, I was probably being sarcastic
