    Pharos Sirius boss mechanics mini-guide.

Zu: The battle with the Zu takes place in a round battle arena surrounded by Eggs. Eggs have very low HP and will die instantly from any attack (Avoide AOE).

While fighting the Zu it will occasionally announce that eggs are nearing hatching. If an Egg hatches, it will spawn a subordinate add that does moderate-high damage with comparable HP.(Eggs that are nearly ready to hatch will have a grey/purple glow around them.)

If an Egg is destroyed it will add a stacked and timed-damage increasing buff of +8 on to the boss.

The DPS destroy glowing Eggs and manage stacks on the boss. Do not let stacks go above +10.

When an add does spawn, the tank should grab threat. The DPS should prioritize killing the adds over the boss. The Zu doesn't do much damage by itself unless the stacked buff is applied.

This is kinda time-senstive, but there are two kinds of eggs -- speckled and pure white. different kinds of eggs spawn different adds, with different behavior and moves. The adds from the white eggs (can't recall names now oops) can be tanked normally and just rush up to rather weakly melee their primary aggro target, as well as periodically doing a rather large AOE -- it doesn't hurt much, really, but if you have too many around you'll start getting smeared. The speckled eggs, instead spawn cockerels, which seem to pick a random target (though usually the healer) and lock onto them, blasting them with little nukes over and over. there'll be a giant purple beam connecting to their target, and while they're untankable, you can protect vulnerable party members by running into the path of the beam, which will change the lock-on target to you.

The cockerels are by far the more annoying enemy to deal with, so if you can, try to break speckled eggs preferentially -- though sometimes it'll be 2-3 speckled eggs at the same time, so, oh well!

Oh yeah, also, don't try to get cute and use Hallowed Ground to avoid her attack at 16 stacks, because it just goes right through it because it's such a super useful tanking skill...!

If your tank has some good gear you can just destroy all the eggs at the start and tank through the stacks (they're capped at 16, which still doesn't hit that hard). The main thing to be wary of is that the Zu will sometimes go off and attack whoever broke its eggs, and at max stacks it can hurt DPS quite a bit.

Maybe you could try having the tank break the eggs? We didn't get to try that.

Zu's super attack when hate is over 10 stacks a vulnerablilty debuff and is also a small AOE stun. Melee would probably get caught in it if the tank was the target.

You can afford to break 1 egg a hatch wave without going over usually (goes down by 1 each time Zu connects a melee attack.) If the DPS gets the anger attack anyway, have the other dps break the next egg.

Zu sometimes goes into the air to spam a very short cast ground circle aoe focused on the tank- he just needs to keep moving and dps need to stay back killing adds. Prioritize the Cockerals, then the boss, kill the other type of add only when the boss is flying.

OP, hate to steal your thunder, but a thread like this is extremely useful this early in the patch. It deserves more info.

First boss has 2 main gimmicks, he summons some dog adds as his HP goes down, and certain attacks from him and the dogs cause an indispellable Debuff that if stacked to three will cause painful explosions. The Dogs add the debuff with their red circle aoe attack to whatever's in front of them. The dogs can be stunned, but not when casting the attack. The attack itself is far to short a cast time to run out either, so stun around 70% of their health to kill them before they do it, or have a bard kite dps them. Killing dogs is the priority since the faster the boss goes down the more dogs you deal with at once. Dont stand in front of the dogs if you dont have threat naturally. Since the boss's prox aoes are weak and rare, healer can stand close to the melee to help their dps efforts.

The boss's debuff attacks start with a red ground line AOE (easy to dodge, especially when people take different sides of him.) Later he'll shoot into the air making 2 burning circles in the center of the area that will gradually grow to almsot fill stage- tank should immediately take boss to edge where the circles wont reach. Example, either north or south when the circles land East and West OO. He can also do one big center shot that leaves a thin ring of safety on the edge. After 50%, he'll perform a large proximity AOE called Gigaslash occasionally . Despite the long cast time, it's very hard to actually run out of, and does minimal damage. It's only danger is it knocks back and could land you in the corruption, but positioning yourself so you fly into the wall keeps you safe.

The third boss summons some zombie adds, but he's HP is so low you can just kill him and the fight ends. Seems to lack any special attacks as well.

Siren demands quick killing of the adds (especially the ones with no legs, there's nothing in their names to suggest whether they walk or crawl), healing to full hp to avoid charms, and stunning "Song of Lunacy" to prevent the healing debuff. Dodging her center song or line rush are telegraphed enough to be easy and the line rush isn't as lethal as Ifrit's or Stone vigils.

The enemies with no legs are called "sergeant" instead of... whatever the other is. they pick a target and permanently disable them until killed if they should manage to reach melee.

When i was doing it it seemed like the first sergeant always picked the healer, the second would be a group of two, both on the tank, then the third would be another group of two -- one on tank and one on healer. Entirely possible it was coincidental, aggro-based, or something else, but that's how it played out on several attempts in a row.

Oh holy crap how did I not notice this.

It doesn't only go after DPS. When we were still learning the fight and I was breaking both glowing eggs the boss would eventually 1-shot me then fly over and murder the healer, but that might just be after it gets a ton of stacks.

Just don't kill more than one egg, it is relatively easy if you do.

It was mentioned by the post above me but I do want to confirm that the crawling zombies in the Siren fight are in fact named differently and are Sergeants. Forget what the regular ones are but they weren't Sergeants.

Today 1 shot pharaos , all seems easy and seen before . Party setup was PLD , BLM (seems enemies getting heavy damage from some spells , so dont recommend to go inside w/o one) , WHM , BRD .
1 boss - Captain : Zerg , Zerg adds on soon as they pop because they doing Insta Aoe that hit hard , dont stand in middle of area because two large Aoe circles will pop up sometimes and deal great damage also . Boss it self hit not hard , so just watch out adds and middle.
2 boss - Zu : Zerg , dont touch eggs at all , leave adds to BLM&BRD , Zu possess little amout hp itself , When add down Zu getting buff up , but this not a problem if healer catch up .
    3 boss - Wywern : Zerg ( again but this time just Zerg ) , dont touch adds , just flash them & hold . didnt noticed anything special at all ; ;
4 boss - Siren : Healer have to stay "tuned" for erase song debuff , Tank can help on adds (just flash&hold till BLM burn them) , When Siren pop @ sides of arena she will do linear move (some kind of shot , hit hard about 2k i think) , When she pop in center , all stack on her and healer erase debuff . LB @ end , but can be done w/o .
