My three-step-guide to fixing PVP:

Step 1: Remove PVP
Step 2: Party
Step 3: Party some more


But seriously, I have always hated PVP, because everytime it's added into a game, normally useful skills are nerfed into oblivion because the devs never thought to incorporate different functionalities into skills based on whether the target is an NPC or another player. Not to mention all the drama over how X class needs to be nerfed, Y class needs to be buffed, and Z class needs to stay the same because it loses to Y class.

I'd like to see a developer reply to the current state of PvP. There's only one strategy and team composition that works every time. No diversity no excitement.

Sleep is only useful on parties that stay closely grouped and aren't working together. Sad fact is, a party of melee will currently destroy a party of casters because we just can't do anything. The few instacasts that BLM's and Summoner's have are weak, and sleep is a really quick dispel and diminishes as you use it. A good Bard can pretty much wreck anything without being touched, including interrupting the entire team single handedly.

We don't play these MMO's to pick the best class, we play them to pick our favorites. If BLM is my favorite, I want to play it and it's SE's job to make sure it's balanced with everything else. Sorry to tell you, we don't "suck" at pvp. We're just the underdogs. I've been playing MMO's for ten years and I know a thing or two about both pvp and pve.

This is where I love being a scholar,
I tell my team to stay in line of sight, due to the fact they cant bum rush everyone at the same time and its either going to be me or the blm.
I just spam cast aldo with fey ill on, not much they can do against avg 1k shield with nearly every 2 being crits for 1.7k ^^.
Miasma those who rush me or get close to healer and miasma them.
And WHMs who play well are just as good, my friend is an amazing WHM, she has more trouble due to lack of shielding but she still manages well.
I am sorry but people who are complaining about pvp being botched are usually under geared or sad they cant spam cure and get away with it.
