    if it wasn't locked out why the heck would they even make u buy darklight with philosophy tomes... u rather them just hand u that gear.. because ilvl80 gear should be easier to obtain . I don't get it really.. I'm lost on the complaint I think... I wished they just force u to be able to run it once a week for loot and the rest of the times u run it u get no loot .. that was what people were saying about coil.. SE did people a favor by allowing u to at least be insured of 1 item.. I've ran coil for a month and have gotten 1 allagan piece .. if I was guaranteed at least 1 per week I'd have more gear .. its a nonsensical complaint

    Thanks, SE, for punishing people who use the armory with the CT lockout system.

    Just pretend you are playing WoW or any other MMO and ignore the heavily marketed armory system since the devs seem to think FFXIV is just a wow clone and treat it as such.

    Ignore the FFXIV armory system altogether and roll an alt and you get double the CT loot every week, double the cap on myth, etc. plus you get another 300k or so from quests and rest xp if you alternate the characters. It might take an extra week to level the alt without the leveling bonus, big deal. The payoff is months and months of double rewards.

    Thanks to half-baked lockouts there is much less incentive to level more than a few classes per character than there is to simply roll an alt.

    I already rolled an alt. The armory system is meh, only useful for leveling for access to cross class skills.

    And now that you get Tier IV matera from quests, there is even more incentive to roll new characters. And the Tier IV materia market is forever ruined. Why bother spirit binding il70 gear for Tier IV materia when the il70 gear costs 20 times more than the IV materia. As the materia is already bottomed to 50k or less.

    I also found it commical when I could choose between a silver piece and a tier IV materia... Lol.... 50k vs 500 gil... Hard choice there, feel sorry for anyone that clicked on the silver piece by instinct.

    This all comes down to the terrible implementation of their token (tomb) system again. Mythology should have never dropped from anything but coil and it should have been added to crystal tower as an alternate option to get some more gear after running it multiple times a week.

    The game continues to suffer because iLevel 90 rewards were given for running dungeons that require iLevel 55 gear or less. Instead they are having to come up with these contorted loot systems and weekly caps now all because players still have the option to run low difficulty dungeons and get some of the best rewards the game offers.

    Simply allow you to need/greed on one DPS piece, one Tank piece, and one Healing piece weekly. Hopefully that will get more people into the other jobs (and learn the intricacies to better perform their main), keeps the armory system relevant, and wouldn't allow people to overgear a single job too quickly (which honestly doesn't actually matter, but I digress).

    Instead of it dropping gear, CT should drop 3 tokens (heal/tank/dps). When you clear each boss you get one piece of the token, when you have killed all them, you have 1 of each piece and they combine into a token. You only get one of each token a week. Then you should be able to take said token to Toll and trade it in for the CT piece of gear you want.

    Everyone should get a piece on each boss for the role they are playing. Want a healer piece, hop on your healer and run it again.

    BCB should be the same way imo.

    That'd be completely contrary to the core concept of RNG is your greatest enemy, not whatever you're actually fighting. It's not a bad idea, but I just don't see it happening.

    My favorite part of the community is the following:

    1. I can get 1 loot and then nothing more in a week? Then I won't do it.
    2. There is a 0.1% chance I can get loot? Ok, I'll go do the dungeon 24/7 because I love loot!

    In other words, people are willing to redo dungeons for no reward at all, as long as they think there is a slim chance at winning a jackpot bonus reward. SE should simply abuse this fact and say that you have 1% chance to be allowed to lot on loot after your first won loot. That way people would redo the dungeon over and over because they have a fraction of a chance to get 2 or 3 drops a week. Most wouldn't get any more, but they'd redo the dungeon some 20 times or more and help others just because of their own delusions of chance.

    At the absolute bare minimum, they should change it so it is 1 piece of loot from a NEED roll per week. Should be allowed infinite number of greeds.
