Hmm, during the second add phase I've noticed -
Friction > Wicked Wheel > Friction > Friction > Friction > Wicked Wheel.
THEN it goes to Wicked Wheel after Friction everytime (for as long as it usually takes us to kill Suparna anyway).
So the starting might be different. There was at least 2 frictions after the tornadoes spawn where there's no wicked wheel following.
You can be extra safe though, but that's what I observed doing it quite a bit.
Unfortunately, a wicked wheel right before the gap so you have to be careful when that gap will actually occur.
I don't know if this is the case for the first phase either since we pull Suparna out as soon as we can for that one.
so i'm noticing that during the first ad phase, wicked wheel comes after friction. during 2nd ad phase, it comes after slipstream. can anyone else confirm this?
While Wicked Wheel is predictable and easy enough to dodge during the first set of clones, the second/third sets are trickier due to the adjacent cyclones.
I ask WHM to SS me during Chirada for insurance. We usually kill Chirada just as Suparna uses the first WW, but in case I'm early--or late--Stoneskin will keep me up.
Yeah WHM SS or better yet a scholar's adlo is your best bet to surviving wicked wheel if you need to charge in as melee. If you have lower hp than 4k+ you'll probably want to switch into fist of earth and pop foresight as well when it's going into friction > downburst > wicked wheel phase.
Not sure if it was mentioned before, but if you have access to Keen Flurry, you're pretty much guaranteed to survive a Wicked Wheel with it up if you're above 4k hp. On DRG I usually outrange the one for the first add, and pop Keen when I Spineshatter over to the other side to live through the 2nd add.
Either: time it, have good tanks(to pull), or have good healers(stoneskin, adloquium).
Orr you can just get above 5k hp.
I don't get it, sometimes they do wicked wheel, sometimes after friction it just goes to slipstream.
It's basically really melee unfriendly unless you are way overgeared. It hit a dragoon in almost full ilvl 90 for about 4500 damage (from Garuda, adds probably do about 4000), he survived, but it's still nasty. In item level 65 (the minimum) you're probably better off straight up not bringing a melee.
some people in our FC did 3 melee 1 range(blm), was really hard and intense they said, but eventually got it down lol
