EM Garuda melee.... how?

As a MNK ilvl 83 I use Fists of Earth combined with Foresight and the attack does 3.2k damage. Got used to it after being one spotted 4-5 times. As far as I can tell, she'll use it soon after she does Friction.

I was about to post asking how effective just using a defensive CD or two would be. Nice to know it works.
