Op, you can purchase ultimate game cards and use those to purchase crysta.

Adventure, that's the life for me!
Please read my original post; thoroughly... We CANNOT use Crysta to purchase further time until our current subscription runs out.
Hopefully the edit to my original post will warrant for further frustration from people who FAIL to read the entire first post.

Bump so we can hopefully get this question answered.
And I've reached my posting limit.. Gods why is this system even in place?

The amount of people not understanding what the OP is specifically asking for is mind boggling. OP knows exactly what they are asking and it seems something only SE can answer.
Bumping for the greater good.
Solution: Found this on Reddit, should help ya:I was one of many who thought that subscribing for 180 days was the best thing since sliced bread with butter on it. And now that they've introduced a 270 day reward after 180 day rewards I'm a little upset that I can't put more game time on my account to get those 270 day rewards.
It seems the EU base is allowed to get these mounts with more ease as they can put in a Game Time Card to add days on to their already subbed accounts; where as we of the NA cannot. Instead we get Ultima Game Cards which only translate into Crysta and not game time; as Crysta purchases of game time are also prohibited from being used until our current subscriptions run out.
During the 2.1 Patch Maint, I happened to visit the Mogstation and noticed a new option to enter a game time card code. Does this mean that we can use the EU Game Time Cards in conjunction with our NA accounts? Or is the NA playerbase getting their own game time cards? please give us a hopeful answer so those of us who made the mistake of paying 180 days up front don't have to suffer as our friends ride around flaunting their behemoth mounts in our faces.
Edit: How many times do I have to edit this post for people to stop and actually read it? Apparently I have to highlight the important feature people seem to keep missing.. But I wouldn't be surprised if it continued to go right over their heads..
From a support response I got about the Mog Station time card update:
Currently, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Time Cards are available at most Gamestop locations, with additional retailers being added at a later date. The game time cards will allow you to add exactly 60 days to your current subscription per redeemed card, up to a maximum of 180 days.
Please note Game Time Cards can only be applied to Standard subscriptions. If you currently have an entry level subscription and would like to use a Game Time Card, please upgrade to a Standard subscription when activating or adding time to the account.
Please keep in mind that all FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Game Time Cards are region specific, please be sure you are purchasing a card for a North American account or purchasing from an authorized North American retailer.
Just to note, this doesn't work with the EU timecards for EU players either, so getting timecards in NA won't really help you with this.
I'm an EU player who subbed for 180 days at launch, and I thought buying a couple of 60 day time cards would get me up to 270, but nope, it won't let me add more than 180 days at a time. Right now its at 170 days left, so i'll have to wait another 50 days before I can add another time card.. sigh.
It feels pretty sucky to get burned for wanting to support the game. I don't think i'll ever be subbing for 180 days again.

eh, ultimately we will get the rewards, and at that point I'll be happy - and they will probably add a reward next update for those that do a 180 Sub again.. I think it's worth it to do the 180 day sub just for the savings.Just to note, this doesn't work with the EU timecards for EU players either, so getting timecards in NA won't really help you with this.

I probably won't be subbing for another 180 days after mine ends. It seems that they will be doing them in increments of every 90 days now and I want to make sure I stay up to date with all the veteran rewards.
