Issuing commands while in free stance - Pet Classes - Hotfix please

With 2.1 going live we now are unable to issue commands to pets while they are in free stance.

I would like to be able to tell Eos to use Embrace but not have to tell her when to use Whispering Dawn for example. (I do use these micromanagement techniques but mostly on endgame content) You shouldn't be stopped from telling her to heal because she's set to auto-cast her other spells.

In the upcoming hotfix
allow us to issue commands no matter which stance.

I agree, before there was no need for extra steps to manually use Embrace and other spells, you could always tell your fairy to manually heal without setting a stance first. Now you have to set her to Obey, which requires you to target a mob first, then set her to Heel. At least once you set her to Obey she stays like that, but overall it feels like a huge step backwards after the great hotfix that removed their spells from the GCD.

I was told they improved pet control. Terrible. Made it even more of a pain.

Yeah it is very frustrating, especially if you are in a tight situation where you need to resummon your fairy quickly. I wish that the default controls would be like it was pre 2.1. I really want the hotfix to change this.

I second this. Pre 2.1 controls were better than the current controls. I am hoping it is just a bug.
