SE lasts no more than 2 combos (without high skill speed, it drops the third hit on the second combo). If you want to maximize DPS while minimizing incoming damage, you have alternate SE and SP combos. Using BB combo gains you 20 potency and loses twice that from the expiration of the SE bonus on reapplication.
