JP Peak Time is Priorty

While we would like to implement the fix on the 18th, the time in which we would complete the fix confirmation overlaps with JP peak time, and as we would like to prioritize everyone's play time we've decided to implement the fix on the 19th.

How many maintenance windows fell in (Insert X Countries Peak Playtime Here)? Why would you delay a patch / hotfix just because it falls in Peak times for JP players when you have absolutely no problem interrupting services during peak times for other countries?

They could simply hotfix US/EU data centers, then JP data centers, just like they deal with maintenances but that would create a discrepency between servers, SE wouldn't do this. Oh, wait...
Anyway, as I said earlier, this "bug" with the FATEs is intended.

What do you expect Japanese developer Japanese game, also they are in the office if they do it at 00:00 PST (Which BTW IS NOT NA PEAK TIME). This will affect Oceanic countries more then anything. Australia sorry but they see the numbers they know how many subs from the area yeah it blows but its obvious you have the least amount of players.

Most of the scheduled maintenances happen during mid-day in Japan. And he didn't actually say what time this fix is going to happen. So we don't know who is being inconvenienced.

East Coast seems to be on easy-street for the maintenance times. Usually falls somewhere around 3am to 6am, when we're all asleep.

Honestly with the way this game is going they might as well cut their losses in the EU/NA market so I can see why they don't care about angering NA/EU fanbase to keep the JP fanbase happy. The NA/EU MMORPG market is just way too cutthroat for this game to survive.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but not many. They did a good job so far scheduling their maintenance at least for NA. Maintenance has never clashed into my play time because it has always started at 2 a.m.

I thought they were just going to do the fixes in the normal Friday Morning 1am Pacific Time Maintenance they have every week? Are they doing another one too?

Really? I can't see how this is pleasing to the Japanese, either. It is a hotfix after all.

Then again, this is Square-Enix, the king of Japanese only oneupmanship. Right, International Versions of their best games?
