Steps:
Earlier this morning I mistakenly selected the new Sort option on my retainer. After painstakingly manually re-sorting her inventory, I finished crafting and left to use my battle class. A few hours later (after logging out and back in, as well) I returned to my retainer. Her inventory was completely and randomly jumbled, with no visible order and both empty and full spaces scattered through it.

wonder if the sorting is only suppose to work till you log off.
